I began asking questions and telling tales (some tall; mostly true) in elementary school and never stopped. At the age of six, using crayons and pencils, I scribbled my first work of fiction, “Pretty Pink,” about a two-storey house that fell in love. Eventually, I tossed the crayons and continued writing stories using typewriters and later, computers.
Since then, my articles have appeared in GlobeandMail.com, ELLECanada.com, Chatelaine.com, CanadianLiving.com, LATimes.com, LAMag.com, OrangeCoast.com, Forbes.com/forbes-travel-guide/, CBC.ca/Punchline and NationalPost.com, to name a few.
As a storyteller and content creator, I help businesses show their expertise and tell their unique stories through sparkling prose that advances their business goals.
I cover business and entrepreneurship, health and technology, and parenting and take on travel assignments for print and online publications. I am a member of ASJA and was a judge for the International Regional Magazine Association’s 2011 and 2014 awards. My short fiction has been published in the South Asian anthologies Desilicious and Bolo! Bolo!
I was born in England (where I learned to drive manual transmission), grew up in Canada (where I learned to skate), and now divide my time working on projects in Southern Ontario and Southern California. I have an undergraduate degree in English with a minor in Chemistry from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. I completed my postgraduate degree in Journalism (Magazine stream) from Ryerson University in Toronto. I’ve travelled through much of Europe, South Asia, and the Middle East. One day I hope to be a true citizen of the world. To achieve that I need to travel much more and talk to heaps of interesting folk. Feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
